However, some shops, transportation and restaurants are given relief to function under limited permission of the local police.

Italy has been one of the very first countries attacked by the corona infectious virus after China and it has been growing on each passing day, seems to be uncontrollable so far. The number of reported cases of coronavirus surged to 9100 and the death toll approached the fat figure of 463 till 9th March, that’s the scariest number after China.

The lock-down started from the northern region of the country but seeing the unstoppable spate of coronavirus, Prime Minister overextended the lockdown nationwide. Schools, universities and even Soccer matches are been canceled until April 3rd. He said, There won’t be just a red zone,”. He added, “There will be Italy.”

Here is what he said in his tweet on 5th March.

That of the #Coronavirus is a challenge that has no political color, which must bring together the entire nation. Everyone’s commitment is needed: citizens and institutions, scientists, doctors, health workers, law enforcement agencies. Italy, all of it, is called to do its part.”

Signing the decree:

“The future of Italy is in our hands. We all do our part, giving up something for the good of the community. At stake is the health of our loved ones, our parents, our children, our grandparents. I just signed the #iorestoacasa decree.”
